The Pope in Twickenham

Continuing with the theme of the papal visit which ended recently, and was greatly positive for the nation and its Catholics, it's worth mentioning that Benedict XVI's usual misdemeanours did not go unnoticed by I&A members. His ecumenical spirit, a constant source of scandal for Traditional Catholics, made itself very apparent in this trip - though we can be grateful to Almighty God that this was not so terrible as that of his predecessor, who allowed the schismatic 'Archbishop of Canterbury' to give the Apostolic blessing and wear the Fisherman's Ring. On Friday 17th September, outside St. Mary's College, Twickenham, a handful of generous souls and some I&A activists held an independent protest over the interfaith meeting held there by the Pope, but addressed primarily by Chief Rabbi Jonathon Sacks. Holding up signs bearing scriptural messages on the necessity of Christ and other placards with the message "Outside the Catholic Church there is no Salvation" this small, but vocal, minority made itself heard over the crowds gathered outside. The rosary was prayed, and hopefully many graces gained for the conversion of England and the restoration of Tradition to the Church - the teachings of the Catholic Church were disseminated to the interested bystanders, and also via the media, the group giving five or six interviews to various television and radio companies, as well as online media. It was a good day for those who made themselves present deserve our thanks for their time, efforts and spiritual works of mercy.

  1. Well done all the I+A members who gave generously of their time and effort recently during the Papal visit.

I am an alumnus of the supposedly "Catholic" St. Mary's College, Strawberry Hill.

Members / readers of this blog may be tempted to wonder why the BBC picked Fr. Gerry Devlin, SJ, chaplain of St. Mary's, to be on it's panel of chummy talking-heads, on the T.V. with Huw Edwards, when the Pope arrived in Scotland...

Well, I would suggest the following might give us an idea: "Fr. Gerry" (as he likes to be called) is notorious for deliberately giving communion to non Catholics... also, the chapel crypt has been turned into an 'inter-faith prayer room'.

And finally, when I went to St. Mary's, amongst the introductory talks given to students in our first week, was a welcome address from the student union, which included several objetionable things (free condoms, "LGBT rights" etc.)
"Fr. Gerry's" introductory talk followed immediately after (he was in the room the whole time), and he neither objected nor even looked embarrassed or ill at ease. In fact he seemed to positively approve of what had been said imediately beore...

  2. Another good choice of activity by I&A activists.

The false ecumenism pursued by modern churchmen most definitely underpins the error of Religious Liberty for false religions and sects within the social sphere and, hence, the lack of vital resistance by the mass of post-conciliar Catholics to the mass immigration of hostile foreigners such as Sikhs, Hindus and Moslems in order to destroy once-Christian lands.

It is telling that the meeting was primarily led by the Chief Rabbi who felt no need to hide the fact that the event was really held in honour of the declarations of Nostra Aetate, that insidious document of Vatican II ghost-written by the Synagogue, that formally announce the surrender of modern churchmen to Talmudic theology and to the international power of what Holy Scripture describes as the 'Synagogue of Satan', masters of the post-Christian world.

The book Judaism and The Vatican', by Vicomte Leon de Poncins, is essential reading in that regard.

This wasn't Pope Benedict's immediate predecessor, but Pope Paul VI in 1966 when the "archbishop" of Canterbury was invited to Rome for the first time, and joined the Pope in his blessing at St Paul's Outside the Walls. Last year, Pope Benedict gave Williams a "pectoral cross" when they met in Rome (usually, a sign of episcopal leadership).

You could almost understand their unbridled enthusiasm back in the glow of the 1960's, but what is the reason for it now, given that everything the Anglicans have done since is to move away from the one true faith? Like Christopher Ferrara once wrote, it is like a virus that has infected the Body of Christ: "We contend that by introducing 'ecumenism,' 'dialogue' and various other 'viral' pseudo-concepts into the Mystical Body, Satan has found a means to confuse, divide and wreak havoc upon the human element of the Church, without the Church ever having taught an actual error of doctrine, which is impossible".

  4. Fr. 'Gerry' Devlin is a questionable figure and has done a great job in running SMUC chaplaincy into the ground. He has a record of people he has, in essence, excommunicated, often because they show him up. He is selective as to who he is pastoral to and he is a power hungry man concerned with his own self image. He spends more time off the campus than on and it is practically impossible for students to see him. Perhaps he's having some sort of mid-life crisis but that is no excuse. There is a history of general absolution and questionable liturgical practices which Westminster Archdiocese would not stand for. There are rumours too that he is or has been involved with a former student whom he is still in contact with - there is photographic evidence of this on the internet too. I believe there is a new principal at St. Mary's - the best thing he can do, if he wants St. Mary's to be a truly respected Catholic institution, is to overhaul the chaplaincy and bring in fresh air by way of a new chaplain who will actively engage and encourage students to take charge and live their Catholic faith. 15 or so years as chaplain is way too long.

May Jesus and Mary pray for his soul urgently.
